Remaking Our World
This is something we can do, and that we
must do. Rebuilding
our economic, financial, legal and agricultural systems is a huge task,
but we
can and must do it. For some time we have been crying in our hearts for
these
changes, and the aspiration for change has been building. Now the
underpinnings
of collective desire and consensus are in place, and change will
proceed
rapidly in response. There will continue to be economic and financial
upheaval,
earth changes such as volcanos and earthquakes, and disruption in the
supply
lines of goods and services. These inevitable changes are the growing
pains
that we must go through to remake our world.
Here are some of the issues that must and
will be addressed:
-
Better
food. We need much more organic food and
more people to grow it. Luckily, we have quite a few people without
work, so we
have the labor power to do it. We need to stop using petroleum-based
pesticides
and the GMO seeds that require them. This change will require people to
use a
greater percentage of their income for food. Luckily, people will also
get more
enjoyment from their food because it will be fresher and taste better.
They’ll
also get more enjoyment from life in general because their bodies will
be
healthier.
-
A better economic
system. The interest-based
system we use today is basically a Ponzi scheme. With the banking laws
of
today, when a person takes out a loan, the money to be lent is created
from
nothing. But the interest that will accrue on the loan is not also
created.
Because the money to pay the interest is never created, borrowers have
to find
a way to get the money out of the existing pool. In order for a
borrower to
win, someone else has to loose, and money becomes tighter and tighter.
This is
why our economy has to continually expand in order to avoid a
recession. We
need a system that allows lenders and banks to make a fair profit
without
creating an economy that needs to continually grow.
-
Strong local
economies. Today’s world-wide
banking system means that money moves rapidly out of local economies to
wherever the most profit can be made. The rising price of gas will soon
be
creating incentives to supply the needs of each locality from the goods
and
services of that locality. We also need to put in place systems to keep
local
money flowing within the local economy. By doing so, we create more
robust
economies worldwide – ones that are not subject to every fluctuation
throughout
the globe.
-
Better
governments. True equality for every
person worldwide and transparent governments responsible to the people.
This
seems like a tall order, but we are seeing how the aspirations of
people
throughout the world are creating the conditions where work toward this
goal is
becoming possible.
We know, at least theoretically, that
everything is created
from energy. The unseen link is that energy is created from thought and
aspiration. And therefore energy follows thought and aspiration and can
be
moved by thought and aspiration. It is our thoughts and human
aspirations that
are creating these changes for the benefit of us all.
